Problem:
When trying to export or email an invoice or a report to a .PDF file nothing happens OR the user gets the following error:
Report Error; – 999
Error in file…………….
Operation not yet implemented
Resolution:
This error has been caused by a conflict between a recent update for Windows from Microsoft and Crystal Reports from SAP. UltraSoft relies on Crystal report to PDF invoices and reports.
This recommend Microsoft update has known issues, more information at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3102429
In order to prevent this error occurring we have supplied some revised font definition files. Once these are installed you will be able to email or save invoices reports as PDF as normal. Please follow the steps below:
- Download the revised font files click here (Microsoft-Fonts.zip).
Once downloaded:
- Right click on the Microsoft-Fonts.Zip file and click “Extract All…..”
- Click “Extract”
- Select All font files and right click on any of the font files and then click “Install”
- Tick “Do this for all current items” and then click “Yes”
The font definitions will be installed on your server.
Once the process has completed you will be able export to pdf, publish or email invoices as normal.
With these fonts in place there is no need for you to remove the Windows Update responsible for the original conflict.
